Senior Vice President - Strategic Corporate Development
Alain Dumont has worked in various industries including printing, automotive, transport, and now security. During his career, he participated in several projects involving company acquisitions and integration, elaboration of financing plans, negotiation of different contracts as well as the implementation of control procedures. As the senior vice president, Mr. Dumont leads the Business Transactional Group. Based in California, he recently focused on the integration of ATI Systems International to achieve the expected synergies, working closely with Richard Drutman, President of Garda's cash logistics business in the US. He also continues his active role in all M&A activities and special projects. Since he joined Garda, Mr. Dumont has greatly contributed to Garda's growth, specifically when the firm became a publicly-traded company registered at the Toronto Stock Exchange (symbol GW). Before Garda, Mr. Dumont was Vice President at Société de Développement du Magnésium, S.E.C and led all financial, accounting, and fiscal aspects of the company. He also was in charge of supervising all financial communications with investors, bankers and lenders. He worked closely with the president of the company in the elaboration of risk management strategies. Mr. Dumont has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration-Accounting from the Université du Québec à Montréal and also holds the title of chartered accountant.
