LOUIS LAFRAMBOISE

Mr. Laframboise has been in the field of public and private security since 1971 and is recognized by clients, peers and public security as a leader in our profession. In 1986, he founded Chartrand Laframboise inc. (CLI), a reputable investigations firm in Quebec. Mr. Laframboise was a police officer with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, from 1971 to 1982, and was promoted to the rank of corporal, managing and carrying out delicate investigations and mandates in commercial crimes, drug trafficking and importing, VIP protection, and risk evaluations. From 1982 to 1986, he held the position of investigator and prevention officer, at the Royal Bank of Canada where he solved several fraud cases and initiated employee-training programs aimed at crime prevention. In 2001, Mr. Laframboise was elected President of the World Association of Detectives Inc. (W.A.D.) and Chairman of the Board of the « Certified Fraud Examiners » - Montreal Chapter. In 2003, Mr. Laframboise received the award «Investigator of the Year» by the World Association of Detectives Inc. (W.A.D.). In 2004, he was presented with a certificate and decoration from the “World Academy of Sciences for Complex Security” (WASCS) for being a major contributor for the industry of security. He is also an active member of many local, national, and international associations, the Montreal Security Representative of the National Hockey League, an advisor to senior managers of publicly traded companies on security issues. Mr. Laframboise lectures on investigations and security at international conferences and trade shows, and collaborates regularly with different levels of government and law enforcement officials on legal issues affecting the profession of private investigations and security. He is the founder of the «Association Professionnelle des Enquêteurs Privés du Québec», recognized by the Ministry of Public Security in Quebec. As the vice-president of consulting and investigations, Mr. Laframboise oversees the business development of this sector in Canada.
