During the year, Garda demonstrated the full scope of its capabilities as an entrepreneurial company in a dynamic world where the only constant is change. For those who have, in the past, known Garda as “an acquisition machine”, we revealed another dimension of our company – our expertise in achieving strong, sustainable organic growth.
Our efforts at defining our position in each market and aligning our operations in the key industries where we want to compete were manifest at all levels. We elevated strong leaders within each business unit capable of adapting our corporate strategies to their operations. They and their teams focused relentlessly on the minute operational details of every product and service. No facet of our business escaped our attention and was left untouched.
We continued to progress in our mission of being the best operator in the industry as we expanded and improved our service delivery platforms in Cash Logistics, Security Solutions and Global Risk Consulting. We did so with our keen entrepreneurial spirit focusing, not only on what we need to achieve today but, more importantly, what will drive our success for future years; excellence in existing operations and services and development of new markets and service offerings.
We applied the axiom "Do more with less", not with the slash costs approach many companies take, but rather by defining and capturing efficiencies and greater productivity in virtually every aspect of the business. There is tangible evidence of that approach in every component of Garda’s financial results and other key performance indicators demonstrating our increasing ability to turn unexpected crises and challenges into profitable opportunities to serve our clients.
